caracter\u00edsticas pensadas para este Museo invitaban a relacionar los objetos exhibidos con su entorno arquitect\u00f3nico; por ello se pens\u00f3 en un espacio para acogerlo que, en s\u00ed mismo, ten\u00eda como objetivo principal mostrar la vida cotidiana de M\u00e1laga y su provincia en sus niveles m\u00e1s caracter\u00edsticos, sus costumbres y actividades, as\u00ed como recuperar piezas dispersas y en peligro de desaparecer por su desuso y que constitu\u00edan elementos definibles del lugar, m\u00e1s que saquear objetos de su contexto como unidades investigables sobre lo popular y lo etnogr\u00e1fico. El mejor ejemplo local se encontr\u00f3 en el Mes\u00f3n de la Victoria.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e061644 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"e061644\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f2312b2 e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"f2312b2\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-323c764 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"323c764\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Entorno Urbano<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c099e60 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"c099e60\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>El edificio se encuentra a intramuros del casco hist\u00f3rico, en su l\u00edmite oeste, lindando con el cauce del r\u00edo Guadalmedina, entre Puerta Nueva y Atarazanas.<\/p><p>La red de calles que se abren en este sector presentan un trazado muy irregular de tradici\u00f3n isl\u00e1mica, mantenido durante el Antiguo R\u00e9gimen, tradicionalmente dedicado a posadas y mesones, hasta el punto que la calle Francos cambi\u00f3 su nombre por el de Mesones, y actualmente por calle de Camas, calle que enmarca por su fachada principal al Mes\u00f3n de la Victoria.<\/p><p>La parcela donde se inscribe la edificaci\u00f3n equidista de Puerta Nueva y el Puente de Santo Domingo que, sucesor de otro anterior, justifica la situaci\u00f3n del mes\u00f3n en ese lugar y comunica esta zona con los barrios de Santo Domingo, Perchel y Trinidad, que ofrecen una perspectiva frontal al Pasillo de Santa Isabel. La propiedad de este primer mes\u00f3n en la citada calle nos la transmite el contrato de venta a favor de\u00a0Pedro de Lorca, por 3.000 maraved\u00edes en 1499. En 1571, tras la muerte de su \u00faltimo heredero, pasa por donaci\u00f3n al convento de la Victoria.<br \/><br \/>A partir de 1621 sufre una ampliaci\u00f3n a consecuencia del uso efectuado por los frailes M\u00ednimos, que hab\u00edan tenido que demoler la Ermita del Mar, junto a la Puerta de Esparter\u00eda, ante el peligro de ataque de la escuadra flamenca, lugar que desde la fundaci\u00f3n de la Orden hab\u00eda servido de posada a los frailes cuando bajaban a la ciudad. La ampliaci\u00f3n consisti\u00f3 en la realizaci\u00f3n de una bodega para m\u00e1s de mil arrobas de vasijas y vivienda encima, invirtiendo 4.561 reales.<br \/><br \/>La nueva edificaci\u00f3n data de 1632, fecha en la que se tienen referencias documentales del contrato entre la Orden y\u00a0Diego Delgado\u00a0y con los canteros\u00a0Sancho Melendez\u00a0y\u00a0Miguel P\u00e9rez\u00a0que facilitaron la piedra para la portada. La nueva obra destruy\u00f3 pr\u00e1cticamente todas las construcciones anteriores, concibi\u00e9ndose el edificio para su uso de hospeder\u00eda tal como ha llegado hasta nosotros. Las dependencias se distribuyen en torno a un patio central, que cuenta con galer\u00eda baja y alta sobre columnas y a \u00e9l van a desembocar las vertientes de las cubiertas de teja morisca, ofreciendo un pintoresco y singular aspecto.<br \/><br \/>Su estructura arquitect\u00f3nica ofrece un ejemplo del tipo de construcci\u00f3n abundante en la Baja Andaluc\u00eda, en la que destacan las viviendas de dos pisos, con patio interior al que se abren las diferentes estancias, caracter\u00edstica del pueblo malague\u00f1o a decir de\u00a0Moreno Villa. Con car\u00e1cter de tradici\u00f3n morisca por un lado e italianizante por otro, representadas, ambas \u00a0corrientes, por el encalado de muros, iluminaci\u00f3n, espacio que ocupa el centro neur\u00e1lgico y la anchura de la luz de los intercolumnios de tradici\u00f3n isl\u00e1mica, mientras que el esbelto alzado de los arcos de medio punto de la galer\u00eda baja, con clave marcada, apoyados en columnas marm\u00f3reas de orden toscano y sin basa, son de tradici\u00f3n italiana.<br \/><br \/>Para\u00a0J. Temboury\u00a0su estructura guarda fuerte relaci\u00f3n con los\u00a0fundaq\u00a0isl\u00e1micos, que se organizan de manera muy similar y para las mismas funciones.<br \/><br \/>Su reconversi\u00f3n hasta el siglo XX en casa de vecinos nos habla de su adaptabilidad a usos dom\u00e9sticos.<br \/><br \/>La transformaci\u00f3n en Museo la realiza el arquitecto malague\u00f1o\u00a0Enrique Atencia. En la memoria que elabora para el Ayuntamiento pone de manifiesto los \u00absignos de ruina inminente\u00bb en aquellas zonas a intervenir con mayor urgencia, aconsejando el apuntalamiento de la fachada de calle Camas y la demolici\u00f3n de las cubiertas de madera, para ser sustituidas por un forjado. Sigue un criterio restaurador muy respetuoso, limitado a la eliminaci\u00f3n de tabiques como operaci\u00f3n indispensable para la adaptaci\u00f3n a \u00e1reas de exhibici\u00f3n y consolidaci\u00f3n
